Like Flavourart White Peach, but yellow. Vape Train Flavourart Yellow White Peach. Either I just had a stroke or that is super clever. I’m going to assume the former.
Vape Train states: “This flavour concentrate has a super crisp clean flavour and is easy to work with as it leads towards a real yellow peach.” That seems like an interesting way to write a product description, but it seems accurate in the broad strokes. It does, in fact taste of yellow peach. Slightly tart yellow peach flavor. There does seem to be some tartness in here, which makes a convincing case for some kind of realism, although it’s mostly lacking that juicier, fleshier body you’d want from a realistic peach flavor.
The texture here is interesting? I’m reading some of the ELR stuff but I’m really not getting anything juicy or fleshy here. For the smirking nonsense of the first paragraph, this really does remind me of the mouthfeel for FA White Peach. Dry and sharp, but still sort of realistic. Decent amount of bite to this as well. If you’re sensitive to peach flavors, I can’t imagine vaping this is going to well for you.
By itself, this isn’t a straight peach rings type flavor. But it isn’t not a peach rings flavor, if you catch my drift. I think if you get this in a mix with another peach flavor that has that kind of peach rings vibe, it’s definitely going to bolster that. It will maybe make it a bit fresher, I guess, but welcome to candy town. If that’s what you’re after, stack some of this on top of something like FLV Peach, TPA Juicy Peach, or JF Honey Peach.
In busier fruit mixes, this should mostly avoid a peach rings thing. The lack of texture here is going to tinge the entire thing peachish. Probably a bit bright for a baked or cooked peach, but could be darkened up a bit with something like FA Liquid Amber. If you could get a jam base right, this would be a good dominant flavor for a peach jam or jelly. If you’re after a more artificial or candied take on peaches on cream, this could punch in enough peach without pulling the texture off the cream part.
This seems to need a deft hand to use right. It’s fairly aggressively dry and harsh at anything like a higher percentage. Just because this Vape Train stuff is all over the place in concentration, I put samples down at 2 and 6%. Both of those are probably pushing it. I’d realistically go closer to 1% with this. It’s not really going to feel like a full peach there, but it does avoid some of the harshness and dryness.
Setup: Recoil w/ flavor barrel, Dual 12 wrap 24g 3.5mm SS316 @.32 ohms. 60w power, 450F temp limit. Full Cotton Wicks.
Testing: Vape Train Shisha Peach, 2 and 6%, 60/40 VG/PG base, Steeped 8 days.
Profile: Yellow peach flavor with some mild tartness.
Off-Flavors: Dry without any juicier body.
Throat Hit: Moderate, but if you have issues with peach flavors this will probably tear you up.
Percentage Recommendation: Reads harsh and dry at primary flavor percentages. I’d use as an accent or booster peach around 1%.
